Brett Lloyd aka Bretty Boy Lloyd (http://www.myspace.com/dotdashdotslash) is somewhere between provocative and scandalous - and maybe therefore so fabulous! The 25 year old london-based photographer has only been working professionally since last fall,
the number of namable fashion magazines that published his eccentric photographs is nothing to sneeze at! His credits already include Vogue Homme Japan, British and Japanese Dazed & Confused, i-D and GQ Style.
The collaboration with stylist Nicola Formichetti (http://www.nicolaformichetti.com/) for the fashion photography feature entitled “CK Teen Screen Grabs” (http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graffiti-underwear-calvin-klein-ck-teen-screen-grabs-brett-lloyd) for the british fashion website PonyStep (http://www.ponystep.com/) is one of his latest achievements and has been talked about a lot. The fun photoshoot features models Luke Stevens, Josh Blount, James Cooper, Pete Bolton and Michael Walsh in underwear by Calvin Klein - thereby the names of the photographer, stylist and web site are scrabbled and painted on their bodies.
The banner of Homotography.blogspot.com (a blog that collects photographs showing homosexual tendencies) features one of brett lloyd's images and therefore holds a special place for him. They are especially fond of one of his recent shoots for I. T Post featuring models Ash Stymest and Josh Beech.Judging by this picture, he is proud of the result, and rightly so!, as the writers of the blog put it. And we also are looking forward to a lot of new photoshoots full of boyishness and creativity by the young Brit and will pursue his hopefully spotless career.

Go to http://www.ponystep.com/fashion/article/WildChild_403.aspx to view the rest of the shoot.

Articles published on Ponystep are always inspirational, modern and full of outside-the-box-thinking.

EXCELLENT!

you gonna like it, i`m pretty sure! i came home today, ate a enormous piece of chocolate cake, while flicking through a magazine....and there: an on bowing terms talnated 17-year-old singer. her name: "CHARLI XCX", signifies kiss charlie kiss (actually Charlotte Aitchison). she started writing her own stuff, very interesting stuff, when she was about 8. this young fairy...hmmm let me describe her: charming pouty rap/fuzzy bassline-sounds, colourful headdresses, twinkling over-sized blazers, stridently bodysuits, makes terrific music. [albums: "Franchesckaar! ";"Emelline Art Bitch"] all in all: new, differnt, extravagant cactus in the scene traipse around, that you HAVE to spy out for yourself! put your headphones on and dance `round and afterwards...whole french chocolate cake?!
love you,
saschénka

22.11.09

Take chaotic, multiply it by three and you get an idea of how the three of us (Duy, Sascha, Dina - who is writing this btw) spent last sunday. Always looking for appealing and unusual street style to photograph and post for you - and to memorize and be inspired by for ourselves! - we were heading for DEKUMO (Design/Kunst/Mode), a sales platform which was in munich for the first time.
We have to say it was quite a disappointment though, as we had been looking forward to meeting cool young designers and art creators and having inspiring conversations with people who are as much interested in fashion and art as us. Unfortunately the hall turned out pretty small and there wasn't very much going on. The few intriguing products were e.g. clocks made out of old records (http://www.27-grad.de/) and a couple of cute gold necklaces and a very expensive old school tweed back. Thanks to iPhone - we were stupid enough to forget the memory card for the camera! - we took a picture of the doorman's jacket which we considered fricking classy!
About an hour and a couple of cigarettes later we had pasta and pizza at Vapiano. It was filling and luscious as usual, however we still felt like buying ice cream afterwards. That didn't work out though because no ice cream can be found downtown in November. Well, the raspberry cake with marzipan put it right anyway!
